Register your event
to receive support from Play England. When you register you can
also choose to publish your
event in our online directory to
increase publicity. Parents, the media and volunteers
often search the directory to see how they can get involved in
Playday events in their area.

Get organised!
guide
The Get organised! guide is full of useful
information to help you plan your Playday event.
It can help you raise awareness of local issues and
get children, young people and whole communities out to play. The
comprehensive guide has everything you need to know to organise a
large-scale public event, and is equally useful if you're
organising a smaller event - just pick and choose the bits that you

Publicise your Playday plans with the official
Playday 2010 event poster!
The event poster has a blank space that you can customise with details of your event -
the high resolution version also allows good
quality commercial printing if you wish.
Printed copies of the poster are included in the registration
packs when you register your event, but if you would like to obtain
further copies please contact
us.

Whether you’re organising a Playday event, running a local

Registration packs are no longer available.
Free registration packs* were available to Playday event
organisers to help celebrate Playday. Do still register your event and get it included in the
online directory to increase
publicity.
* Strictly one per event and while stocks last.
Registration pack contains: 3 x adult t-shirts, 4 x child t-shirts,
40 x postcards, 15 x event posters, 15 x promotional
posters, 1 x Get organised! guide, 5 x sticker
sheets, 1 x frisbee, 1 x stencil.

Playday logo
We realise that some Playday event organisers like
to produce their own promotional materials. If
you would like to request the use of the Playday logo for
these purposes, please contact
us. We require proofs prior to print whenever the logo is
featured, which can be approved quickly by email.
Please note
The use of the Playday branding or branded
promotional merchandise is not permitted to generate commercial
income, unless given prior permission from Play England.

Play England's Manifesto for children's
play

This Playday, we’re asking everyone to sign up to
support
Play England’s Manifesto for Children’s play – help us put play
on the political agenda!
If you live in England, it would make a really
big difference if you could help increase support for the
Manifesto at your Playday event. Use the following documents to get
you started:

Help spread the word by
distributing copies of the manifesto at your Playday event.
Manifesto for children’s play – letter template
Encourage children, young people,
adults and everyone else attending your event to write to their
local MP to tell them why they should support children’s
play.
Manifesto for children’s play – sign-up sheet
Ask everyone to sign up to support the
manifesto; Getting as many people as possible to support
the campaign will have the biggest impact.

Playday web shop

The Playday web shop is now
closed.
Official Playday products were
available from BTC Group at a reduced price based on everyone
collectively pre-ordering before manufacture. To allow for
manufacturing and delivery in time for Playday, orders had to be
placed before 17 June. T-shirts may still be available
to order. Please contact Lynda at BTC Group on 020 8569
2250 for an individual quotation.
If you have ordered items from
BTC, they will be dispatched in the week beginning 19
July.

Photography at your
event
Playday is a great opportunity to make some great memories and
take some fantastic action-packed photographs! Check out our
guidance notes on photography at your
event, including a template photo consent
form.
Scrapstores
Why not contact your local scrapstore to get further resources
for your Playday event? All sorts of donated and re-used materials
are available, perfect for building go-karts, dens and all sorts!
There is a network of resource centres and scrapstores throughout
the UK, visit the directory on the
Children's Scrapstore website to find your nearest one.
